How to receive a grant from the INM
Advancing state public education efforts is part of the mission of INM. Here is how it works: We will use the great state of Illinois for our example.
First, Illinois asks INM to set up an IL public education fund.
Option #1
ILANP does fundraising for the INM IL Public Education fund. Donations to INM are restricted for that purpose.
INM uses 15% of donations for indirect costs.
.85 of every dollar is dedicated toward public education efforts in IL.
Option #2
ILANP develops a relationship with an Illinois foundation. The foundation can only grant another 501C3. ILANP develops a project request to INM.
INM writes a grant to the Illinois foundation- saying " help us fund this worthy project in your backyard."
The foundation writes a grant to INM to fund the ILANP project.

To utilize funds, the ILANP writes a simple grant application, assuring that the funds will be used for public benefit (not lobbying) purposes.
